Fat 2 Fit Show #11 - Our Support Community is Now Here
Written on December 21, 2007 – 12:22 am | by Jeff Ainslie
We did a post about a month ago entitled “Support in Weight Loss” which dealt with places where people can get some support and motivation in their fitness goals. In response to a couple of e-mails and a comment from a listener looking for other “F2F listeners” who use the free site “Traineo”, we decided to create a “Fat2Fit Radio Traineo Group”. If you join up for free on Traineo you can find our “Fat2Fit Radio Group” there. There you can meet up with other listeners with similar fitness goals and you can even sign up Russ and Jeff as your “Personal Motivators”. Here is the direct link to the group: http://fat2fit.groups.traineo.com/
Russ’ news stories this week dealt with the surprising fact that obesity levels in the United States might actually be leveling off, and the absolute 20 worst restaurant foods in America. Jeff’s first story dealt with some great weight loss tips and suggestions. His second story was entitled “How to Make Exercise More Fun than Sex” … that would be great, wouldn’t it.
Has public opinion gone too far? Every child knows that Santa is “Jolly and Fat”. Does seeing an overweight Santa cause children later in life to gain weight because of this? Is seeing a fat man in a red suit really a horrible negative influence that no child should be exposed to in their formative years? We investigate this controversy and ask for listener feedback.
Speaking of the Holidays, how do you keep the food temptations in check? We discuss some strategies to do this without suffering from guilt later on. Any suggestions or tips?
