The Fat Map
CNN has a great interactive map that displays obesity statistics from 1985 to 2006. Obesity is defined as someone who is about 30 lbs overweight.
It should not be a surprise to anyone that the percentage of obese people in each state has steadily increased. In 1985 the majority of states had less than 10% Obese. In 2006 the majority of states had over 25% of its population in the obese category.
The real question is to find out what the main causes of this crisis are and what can be done about it? At this rate, will the obesity rates eventually reach 100%
