What do you say to someone that tells you you’re losing weight too slowly? You are in fact losing weight, just not at the pace that they would like. Listener Robin has just such a problem. Even her doctor wants her to use very low calorie diet
and her friends are pushing her to run and do a 5K when she knows she’s not ready. Who does she listen to? Shanna wrote in that she’s confused about what her goal weight should be. We created our calculators for just such an occasion. But, she considers herself “big boned” and so do those numbers apply to her?
On our Web Report, Jeff has two articles. One is an infographic that shows how much food Americans eat on a yearly basis, on average. It splits it up into different categories like dairy, meat, grain and then further by different foods in each category. Very cool. The second is a link to a video clip of an interview where Biggest Loser, Kai Hibbard, outs the show for being not completely honest how it portrays the show. Russ has two articles as well. They were supposed to be light hearted. The first is a list of 10 signs that might be gaining weight. One is, you’re in the market for an F-Cup bra. You’re male. Check out the list. Some are regional, but funny none the less. The second article is about a woman that was being kicked out of New Zealand for being too fat! She was told she’d be a drain on the national health care system, so out she goes. Discussion ensues.

I just want to say you guys are awesome, thanks for the great podcast. I cannot wait for my book to arrive in the mail.
While I am already at a healthy weight, your tips are invaluable. I would like to remain at a healthy weight for the rest of my life and your advice will help me achieve that.

Thank you so much for your very sound advice on losing weight SLOWLY and as part of a health lifestyle!!! I’ve been a WeightWatcher member for a year and have lost and kept off 37 pounds and still going strong through small gains, maintains and loses over this time. I have found your podcast another source of motivation to keep me on my journey of my healthy lifestyle.
