I downloaded the book In Defense of Food on itunes. I have to say it was the most interesting book I have heard in a long time. I love the information it provided and how simple it was. I have started really looking at the food labels and noticed so many things I never noticed before. For example: Why is there High Fructose Corn Syrup in everything? Bread, Beef Jerky, Pasta sauce. That is insane. I have really made a conscious effort to try to remove the foods that are not so pure from my diet. I never realized how many food like substances we eat. So thanks for the recommendation. I really enjoyed it.

Thanks,

This is something that I think is the most important factor in people's diets....

Whole and natural foods do take a bit more time depending on what choices you make but the way you feel when you make that choice is worth it...

I feel like a truck hit me when I eat foods that are not natural and that are full of chemicals. I get headaches, I get sore, I have strange things happening in my body... things that I used to think were normal until I started eating clean...

I am very proud of what can be found in my kitchen now... of all the foods that I make from scratch and the choices that I make when I buy certain convenience foods...

Actually I just blogged about my choices recently :)

Sometimes I wonder if Americans really like food or if they treat it like alcohol: as a guilty pleasure, something they like but feel they shouldn't and so never enjoy it properly (which leads to binging a.k.a forbidden fruit syndrome).
