Why do people have different metabolisms? We talk about some of the differences including genetics, sex and muscle mass. We respond to three listener responses that dealt with goal setting, a 540 lb man who can’t seem to lose any weight, and the evils of hiding vegetables in your children’s food.

Jeff’s news stories both dealt with weight loss scams and products that offer more than they can deliver. Russ’ first story dealt with why the French eat so luxuriously, yet don’t seem to be as heavy as Americans. His next story discussed the evils of trans fats and which fast food restaurants were the ones to avoid.

The pumpkin waffles were awesome. I left out the apple and my guys still loved them. They couldn’t believe I’d gotten them to eat a vegetable (other than potatoes) at breakfast. Thanks for including such a healthy and delicious recipe. Anything I can do to get these guys to eat healthier and keep it interesting is a great help.

Sherry » Weren’t they? I agree, the apples were not needed. I have to find a good pumpkin or banana bread recipe without a ton of sugar too. If you have a suggestion, send it to podcast@fat2fitradio.com.

Hey guys love the podcast! I’m relistening to some season 1 shows and in this show you were talking about the guy trying to raise money to have a gastric bypass. You talk about some of the after effects of the surgery & I think it’s so funny when Jeff calls death a “potential health concern”. Hahaha Always informative & entertaining! Keep up the great work!
